The illegal occupants of Latifpura, who had been camping in tents since their houses had been demolished in December 2022, on Tuesday afternoon climbed up an overhead water tank protesting against a fresh anti-encroachment drive. As many as 11 occupants including women went up the tank flashing petrol cans in their hands. The move sent the administration, AAP government and the local police in a tizzy. The matter even took a political colour with leaders coming to the spot in their support.
