Ladakh Protest: Leh Apex Body calls March 12 rally in Leh over statehood demand The Leh Apex Body (LAB), one of the two bodiesengaged with union government discussing demands of Ladakh people has calledfor a peaceful rally on March 12 in Leh, citing delays in convening the nextround of dialogue between Ladakh-based groups and the Union Ministry of HomeAffairs (MHA) over key issues concerning the Union Territory. LAB has invitedresidents of Leh to participate in the rally, which they said would beconducted in a peaceful manner. Lastround of talks between the Union Home Ministry and Ladakh groups was held lastmonth. The next round of talks is still awaited. The major demands of Ladakh residents include statehoodand Sixth Schedule.
