 HISAR, Dec 13
Leaders of the Haryana Sarvjati Morcha today came down
heavily on three Lals of the state, accusing them of
exploiting the simple people of Haryana. They claimed
that they will change the political map of the state by
removing all the three and usher an era of peace and
        progress. Addressing a well attended
rally, which was the first public meeting of the morcha,
here today the convener of the Morcha, Mr O.P. Jindal,
criticised the Chief Minister for "going back on all
his election promises". He alleged that Mr Bansi Lal
had proved to be an "absolute failure" and he
had not initiated any move that could indicate his
seriousness towards fulfilling his election promises. Mr Jindal pointed out that
the law and order problem had been worse during the
regime of Bansi Lal. He said, "while there used to
be only one incident during Bhajan Lal's time in a month,
now there are at least four incidents in Mr Bansi Lal's
        regime". He blamed the Chief
Minister for all the ills of the state. The former MP
regretted that he had been instrumental in bringing Mr
Bansi Lal back to power, as he had proved disastrous for
the state. "I misunderstood Mr Bansi Lal, he did not
deserve all the help and cooperation I provided
him", Mr Jindal remarked adding that he will avenge
each and every wrong done to him. The HSJM leader claimed
that the main reason for his differences with the Chief
Minister had been the latter's alleged aversion towards
the Harijans wards. He claimed that whenever he raised
the issue of these people with the Chief Minister, he
tried to evade it. Mr Jindal claimed that he will ensure
that the Harijans and other weaker sections of the
society get their due, as they had been exploited so far
by the successive rulers. Encouraged by the huge
presence of people in the rally, Mr Jindal said, he would
continue to mobilise the people throughout the state
against the wrong policies of the government. He claimed
that the vehicles ferrying his supporters were stopped by
the police, to prevent their attendance in the rally. The industrialist turned
politician expressed surprise as how the BJP could bear
with such type of a Chief Minister, who was adamant, not
to abolish octroi, the main election promise of the BJP. Speaking on the occasion
the patron of the HSJM, Mr Ashwani Kumar Chopra (of the
Punjab Kesri group) said the people had pinned great
hopes on Mr Bansi Lal. He said, instead of proving to be
the "Vikas pursh", Mr Bansi Lal had proved to
be the "Vinash pursh". He pointed out towards
the worst condition of roads in the state. Mr Chopra alleged that Mr
Devi Lal, Mr Bhajan Lal and Mr Bansi Lal had only
exploited the innocent and simple people of Haryana. He
claimed that the Morcha will act as a pressure group in
Haryana politics and ensure that no ruler exploited the
people, the way they have been so far. Mr Raghu Yadav, general
secretary of the Morcha, also directed his ire on all the
three Lals. He alleged that Mr Devi Lal's two sons, Mr Om
Prakash Chautala and Mr Ranjeet Singh had been involved
in the grabbing of thousands of acres at various places. Mr Yadav accused Mr Om
Prakash Chautala of political opportunism saying while he
contested Lok Sabha elections with the BSP, soon he
joined hands with the BJP without caring to consult the
BSP leadership. He said Mr Devi Lal, Mr
Bhajan Lal and Mr Bansi Lal had never tried to resolve
the long pending disputes of the state with Punjab. He
said all three leaders had got several chances to get all
these disputes resolved, but none of them bothered to, as
they had hardly any concern for the state. Mr Arvind Sharma, former
MP from Sonepat and the vice president of the Morcha,
sought to dispel all the notions that the Morcha was
likely to merge with any political party. He said, the Morcha will
contest next election on its own and give due
representation to all the sections of society. Among those who addressed
today's public meeting were Mr Navin Jindal, the youngest
son of Mr O.P. Jindal, Mr Mange Ram Sharma, the former
political adviser to Mr Bhajan Lal and president of the
Akhil Bhartiya Brahaman Sabha, Mr Nand Kishore Goel,
chairman of the Agroha Vikas Trust.
