 Temperature
          rises in region New Delhi, April 24 Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures
          rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana,
          Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and changed little
          elsewhere.
           Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and
          Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east
          Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan and
          east Uttar Pradesh and normal in west Uttar Pradesh. The highest
          temperature in the region was 44°C recorded at Banswara (Rajasthan).
           Forecast valid until the morning of 26th: Rain or snow is
          likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain
          or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab.
          Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
           Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of
          26th: Partly cloudy sky. No significant change in the maximum
          temperature, which will be around 40°C.
