appoints election watchdogs
Sonepat, March 13
The Legal Cell of the Haryana BJP has appointed six prominent lawyers,
namely Mr Nar Dev Sharma, Mr N. K. Sanghi, Mr O. P. Goel, Mr Sanjeev
Pandit, Mr Lekh Raj Sharma and Mr Ravi Kiran Dahiya, on its panel for
looking into complaints about the misuse of official machinery by the
ruling Indian National Lok Dal and its candidates during the
Lok Sabha elections in the state.

The matriculation examination began today amidst tight security
arrangements at the 105 examination centres set up by the Board of
School Education Haryana in this city and elsewhere in this district.

have suspended the event after a group of slogan shouting youth barged

Officials of the Health Department headed by Ms Sushma Madan, Director
of Health Services, conducted surprise raids at two private nursing
homes at Gohana town, 35 km from here, last evening and seized certain
documents from them for scrutiny.

Spinal injuries
centre to have new ward
New Delhi, March 13
In order to meet the increasing load of professional healthcare
services to the patients with spinal injuries and related problems,
the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) is very soon coming up with a
new ward of 30 beds. The chairman of the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre
(ISIC), Major H.P.S. Ahluwalia, announced it today while inaugurating
the three-day conference of International Spine and Spinal Injuries
Conference.
Dacoity
plan goes for a toss, five nabbed
New Delhi, March 13
With the arrest of five persons the South district police claimed to
have averted a dacoity bid in a wine shop near Ajay Ahuja Park. The police also recovered one countrymade pistol, one knife, two
rods, two colour TVs, four cameras, silver jewellery and some antiques
from their possession.
