Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. These were below normal in Punjab, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 27: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.
