WORKSHOP: A three-day workshop on PC hardware and assembling started at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies here on Thursday. On the first day of the workshop, Mr Jaswinder Singh, lecturer in computer science, delivered a lecture on assembling the mother board and different parts of computer. Students will be given certificates after the conclusion of the workshop.FACULTY PROGRAMME: The Department of Business Management of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in collaboration with the Punjab Commerce and Management Association (PCMA) will organise a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Strategic Management' for Commerce and Management teachers of
colleges and universities of Punjab and PCMA members on June 25 and 26.
MUTUAL FUND: ING Vysya Mutual Fund announced its entry in markets of Punjab by setting up its office here on Thursday. It will be the company's 32 network office in the country. Mr Vikas Sachdeva, country manager, business development, said the office would provide expert investment advise and also easy access to financial products offered by the company.

ELECTED: Mr Tarsem Saini, a rice mill owner, was elected president of the Punjab Rice Millers Association (PRMA). The elections were held under the supervision of 11-member election committee headed by the chairman, Mr Harsih Devgun.
