‘Lal Chowk March’ today Curfew imposed in Kashmir Srinagar, October 5
In a replay of the past practice, the state government, fearing law and order problem, imposed curfew in Srinagar and other major towns in Kashmir this morning to prevent the separatists from organising the Lal Chowk chalo march scheduled for tomorrow.

The Bajrang Dal has come under further pressure with the National Commission of Minorities suggesting a ban on it, saying such organisations were responsible for the “breakdown of communal harmony” while seeking a judicial enquiry into the violence against the Christian community in Karnataka.
