Arunachal integral part of India, China told
Ministry of External Affairs spokesman asserted that Arunachal Pradesh was an ‘integral and inalienable’ part of India. The people of the state are citizens of India and are proud
participants in the mainstream of India’s vibrant democracy.
New Delhi, October 13
India and China were today engaged in a bitter war of words over Arunachal Pradesh with New Delhi reacting sharply to Beijing raising objection over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s recent visit to the north eastern state for campaigning in the assembly polls.
China ‘dissatisfied’ with PM’s visit
Beijing: Ten days after the event, China on Tuesday expressed "strong" dissatisfaction over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh during electioneering.

orders stay on Gujjar quota

In a major jolt to Gujjar community
on Diwali eve, the Rajasthan High Court has stayed the 5 per cent quota
provided to the Gujjars and 14 per cent to the Economically Backward
Classes (EBCs) as it breached the 50 per cent reservation cap set by the
SC.
Two
superfast trains to clear holiday rush
New Delhi, October 13
The Railways will run two special
superfast trains from Amritsar and Chandigarh in an effort to cut down
on the travel time and clear the extra rush of passengers. While the
first superfast train would run between Amritsar and Nanded, the second
would be between Chandigarh and Lucknow.
