a hot chase, two wanted gangsters shot dead in Kharar

Two members of the notorious Vijay
Topi snatchers’ gang were killed and five arrested in an exchange of
fire with the Gurdaspur police at Kharar today. One person was injured,
while two managed to escape.

Chinese
firms in India with PoK link under lens
New Delhi, December 3
Chinese firms which have a presence
in India and are also simultaneously undertaking projects in
Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) may face action, official sources
indicated today. “We are certainly looking at certain Chinese
companies which have projects in PoK and are also working in India. We
are deciding what to do (with these firms),” the sources said.
No
air fare hike, for now
New Delhi, December 3
The government today turned down
the proposal by domestic airlines for a massive fare hike and said the
distance-based tariff doesn’t make any sense. “Distance-based slabs
do not merit any consideration. Airfare slabs must be sector-wise,
category-wise and period-wise,” Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel
said, trashing airlines’ proposal.

clears construction at Maya’s Ambedkar park
New Delhi, December 3
The Supreme Court today gave a
conditional go-ahead to the Mayawati Government to resume construction
of the Rs 685-crore BR Ambedkar Memorial at Noida Park under the
supervision of an expert panel.
