Car sales in top gear on Dhanteras

The slowdown experienced by the auto sector seems to be a thing of the past. Most auto showrooms in the city have been experiencing increased sales during the festive season. And as many as 1,200 new cars will hit the tricity roads on the auspicious day of Dhanteras on Sunday.
20-yr-old student killed in mishap

Spurious sweets destroyed
Chandigarh, November 10
A team of UT officials confiscated around 200 kg of sweets and eatables at Doaba Sweets in Sector 30 yesterday.
The eatables, unfit for human consumption, were destroyed by the team, led by Duty Magistrate Rajiv Tewari and food inspector Sanjay

350-kg sweets destroyed

The SDM today issued notice to three makers of sweets and destroyed 350 kg of sweets being made under unhygienic conditions.
