Exempt teachers from Economic Survey duty
Our Correspondent
Nawanshahr, January 10
A delegation of the Democratic Teachers Front today submitted a memorandum to Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Paul urging him to exempt teachers from the Economic Survey to be conducted from January 16 to February 14.
Front state president Bhupinder Singh Warraich said as the annual examinations were drawing near, teachers are needed to concentrate on students. "But if teachers are not exempted from the survey, they have to do double duty. They have been asked to carry out the survey after school hours. The duty schedule will virtually exhaust them both physically and mentally. Consequently, they might not be able to do justice to their main duty that is to help students before their exams,” said
Warraich.
