The last rites of farmer Shubhakaran, who died at Khanauri border on February 21, were performed at his village Balloh in Bathinda on Thursday. A large number of farmers were present.

Farm leaders Sarwan Pandher and Jagjit Dallewal, who attended the funeral, said prayers would be organised for Shubhakaran on March 3. Regarding the Delhi march, he said it was not the right platform to talk about it. At present, farmers are staying put at Shambhu and Khanauri.
