Patiala, March 1

Two days after the police had registered a murder case against unidentified persons in the death of Shubhkaran Singh during a protest at the Khanauri border on February 21, Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non- Political) leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal demanded the registration of a kidnapping case against the Haryana Police for allegedly capturing and assaulting farmer Pritpal Singh.

He also demanded the registration of a case against cops for vandalising tractors of farmers. “We have learnt that Haryana is making an effort to get Pritpal Singh, who is undergoing treatment at the PGI, back in their custody and pressing the doctor to declare him fit. The Punjab Government should intervene,” said Dallewal.
