Monday: Southwest-monsoon has further advanced and covered entire states of Haryana and Punjab. Monsoon has been vigorous in Punjab and active in Himachal Pradesh.

Heatwave conditions have abated from Haryana. Rainfall has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Punjab and at a few places in Haryana. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are:- Guler 8; Chandigarh and Karol 6 each; Nadaun and Sunni 5 each; Sundernagar, Pandoh, Sujanpurtira and Nagrota Surian 4 each; Ambala, Berthin, RL-1700 (Satluj & Beas catchment area) Ghamroor, Chamba and Khairi 3 each; Amritsar, Shahpurkandi, Ranjit Sagar Dam site, Shimla, Rampur and Kahu 2 each and Nangal Dam 1.

Forecast: Moderate to rather heavy rain will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and at a few places in Haryana.

Warning: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
