Life will be great

LIFE will be great,
If you have a mate.
He shall share your joy and sorrow,
He will be with you tomorrow.
Your tears and smiles he will share,
Trouble alone, he will never let you bear.
He will walk along with you forever,
Leave you alone; Oh! he’ll never ever.
He’ll make your life full of fun,
He’ll be your shade under the hot sun.
Your life will be great,
If you have a wonderful mate.

— Priyam Mahajan

Holidays

Holidays is the time to rest,
And be free from many a test.
Holidays are meant to enjoy,
And to play with our toys.
In our holidays we have time to play,
And we are happy and gay.
In holidays we meet our friends and chat,
And think of buying a new cricket bat.
Holidays are to read stories and have fun,
And play in the sun.
I like holidays!

— Anupreet Kaur Paik

Gods on earth

Don’t go to temple, don’t go to church,
Serve thy parents, living gods on earth.
None is thy so near and dear,
You grow and flourish, all trouble they bear.
You may rule over the sky, any one you may defy.
But a sob of their heart, will leave you not worth a pie.
Serve them happily and seek their blessings,
If you fail to do that, you will get from Him strong dressing.
It is His command, not merely an advice.
Life without His true service is a curse, a vice.

— Sakshi Sharma
