Poems

I’d rather be a shirker

AFTER months of slothful inaction
With this year’s election
They are back in action
To avail of every opportunity
To spatter
Sleaze and squalor
On their rival community.
And these arbiters of peace
Would never cease
To perpetrate
The spate
Of riots
To secure
And ensure
Their victory and votes.
If this is what
Work or action stands for,
I’d love to be to the core
A shirker
And not a worker.

God’s court

Who will love the endangered Sparrow?
Who will help her from predators greed?
"No, not I," said Oak the Tree,
"I won’t share my shelter with her
Nasty nest indeed."
Who will love the endangered Sparrow?
And who will speak a gentle word?
"No, not I," said Man the Mean.
I have no time
And my children come first with me.
Who will take pity in his heart?
And who will feed the starving she?
"No, not I," said Wheat the Golden,
"I need all my grains to prosper and grow .
Will no one love the endangered Sparrow?
"Yes, I will" said earth the Mother.
"For all I’ve created returns, to me."

Pain and agonies

Pain and agonies are always on the way.
They may take all your happiness away.
But you’re not here to bow at once,
Fight with it and don’t lose the chance
All that matters is that life is a game.
You win, you lose but you still go on.
You strive, your fight to see and hear.
And walk on towards your goal.
Where luck to plays a major role.
In this life you have to move on.
Nobody will come to your rescue anyway.
You have to yourself find your way
Believe in yourself and believe in God
He helps everyone "Coz He’s the lord
Pain and agonies are always on the way.
But they will surely step off some day
