No respite from cold wave
NEW DELHI, Jan 17 Cold wave continued in most parts of UP, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and north Rajasthan. It is likely to continue for the next two days.

    The maximum relative humidity was 100 per cent and the minimum 64 per cent.

NEW DELHI, Jan 17 Cold wave continued in most parts of UP, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and north Rajasthan. It is likely to continue for the next two days.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were below normal in the remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, and UP and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.5C in Narnaul (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of 19th: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana and Punjab during next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi & neighbourhood valid until the morning 19th: Hazy sky. Fog during night and morning. Cold wave conditions to continue. Minimum temperature will be around 4C.
