        Tremors felt on Haryana border 
        New Delhi, February 23 
        A slight intensity earthquake was felt in Haryana-Uttar Pradesh border areas at 1.55 pm today, according to the Meteorological Department here. The quake measured 2.8 on the Richter scale, it said.

        25 feared drowned 
        Hajipur, February 23 
        An overloaded boat today capsized in the Ganga near Pahleja-Barka ghat in Saran district, and the police says 25 passengers may have drowned. One body has been recovered so far while search for others was continuing, the police added.

        Jhansi (UP), February 23 
        A man, in an inebriated state, killed five persons, including two women, at Mailwara village of the district last night, the police said here today. The accused, under the influence of ‘ganja’, hit them with lathis resulting in their death.
