Liquor-vend auction fetches 206 cr
Ludhiana, March 15
Liquor shops in the district, put to auction for the next financial year at Lions Bhavan, here today, yielded a staggering Rs 206.70 crore as against Rs 193.05 crore for this year.
Pavement construction begins

The work on pavements at an estimated cost of Rs 6 lakh in New Shivaji Road under Ward No 58 was taken up with the formal land cutting ceremony being performed by Mrs Neelam Davar, wife of Mr Surinder Davar, Congress legislator from Ludhiana East, at a function in street no 3 of the locality here today.
