Rain or snow has been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Punjab, at many places in Haryana and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change; Maximum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan, fell in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely above normal in Rajasthan, markedly above normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. the lowest temperature in the plains was 10.4C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 3: Rain or snow is likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Punjab, at a few places in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls or hailstorms are likely in Haryana and Punjab.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 3: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28C and 16C respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of March 3: Light rain is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65kmph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
