First-ever naval exercises with Russia on May 20
New Delhi, May 18
A delegation of the Russian Navy, led by Rear Admiral Vladimir
Pepelyayev, has arrived in India to finalise the details of the first-ever joint exercises to be held on May 20 and early June in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
Mother, daughter face starvation?

Though the Himachal Pradesh government claims that it is self-sufficient in the field of foodgrains and no one goes to sleep without taking food, a family of a mother and daughter in Thaan village of Hamirpur district is facing starvation-like situation. Another daughter, Kanta Devi (38), died allegedly due to hunger last week.
Chautala campaigns on wheelchair
Fatehabad, May 18
The Haryana Chief Minister and president of the ruling Indian National Lok Dal, Mr Om Prakash Chautala, today started the second phase of his poll campaign for the byelection to the Fatehabad Assembly seat on a wheelchair. He addressed 11 public meetings today and is scheduled to address seven tomorrow.
