PSEB
seeks more funds to meet power demand

The PSEB has sought additional
assistance of Rs 50 crore every month from June to purchase power to
meet the demand for power supply in the state, particularly for
tubewells. With the rise in mercury, the demand for power has been
rising and on May 21, it was 960.20 lakh units, the highest this year.
