Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.6C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 15.7C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 9: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
