The brilliance of Armenian
costumes was the first thing that struck the eye during the delightful
presentation made by the 21-member Armenian state troupe, Barekamutyun,
today.
Through rhythm and grace, Armenian dancers took the audience at Baba Makhan Shah Lobana auditorium in Sector 30 to a
virtual journey through the cultural landscape of their land. The show was organised by the

Vyas charms music lovers

The three-day Chandigarh Sangeet
Sammelan organised at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan concluded this morning
with a vocal recital by Suhas Vyas, who also presented some beautiful
compositions for the music lovers late last night.
Under-40 age group
more prone to brain stroke

A brain attack or a stroke, the
third largest killer after cardiac disorders and cancer, is now
catching up with the under 40-age group. Almost 25 per cent of those
who approached the PGI stroke helpline, during the last six months
were in this age group.

Carbon
dioxide angiography performed

The first case of angiography
done with carbon dioxide instead of the conventional method of using
dyes was performed at the PGI today by Dr Mathew Cherian, consultant
in vascular and interventional radiology at Kovai Medical Centre in
Coimbatore.
