Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, fell in Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
