Cold day conditions continue to prevail in most parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and in some parts of Rajasthan.
Rainfall: Rain or snow occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 3 and Uttaranchal: Dehradun 2 and Tehri 1.

Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and Punjab, fell in Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

They were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
