Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 35.8C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9C recorded at Adampur and Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 8: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
