Temperatures:
           Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures  rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in east Rajasthan and  changed little elsewhere. Departure: The temperatures were markedly  above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above  normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Uttar  Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the  region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.7°C  recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).  
Past 24 hours change:
           Minimum temperatures changed  little. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab, above  normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the  region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.3°C  recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

            Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal  Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are  likely at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be  mainly dry in the rest of the region.

           Mainly clear sky. Maximum and  minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 18°C  respectively.
