Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: These were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.3C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little. Departures: These were above normal in Himachal Pradeh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.4C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 2: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 2: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy tomorrow. Maximum temperature will be around 37 C.
