Student complains against in-laws

Harmanjit Singh, a resident of Sangrur and law student of Panjab University, Chandigarh, has lodged a complaint against his in-laws and some other persons for his being kept in illegal custody for four months at the Khanna police station.

Man killed over Rs 5!
Ludhiana, September 5
The police today registered a case of murder against a contractor of a liquor vend and his gunman in connection with a shooting incident that took place on Friday.
The Division No. 7 police booked Vinay Mishra, contractor of a liquor vend, and
his gunman, Harbans Singh, for allegedly killing Rajinder Singh.

Staff at the Dehlon police station is housed in a dilapidated building which has cracks in two lock-ups. The police has been keeping accused in its custody here and had to take extra care of the accused.

Controversy over Adi Granth irrelevant: ex-Pro-VC
