Scientific exchange between India, Pak stressed
Ludhiana, October 14
An invitation has been extended to Janab Pravez Ellahi, Chief Minister of Pakistani Punjab, to visit the PAU also while coming to Punjab to attend the World Punjabi Conference. Dr Kirpal Singh Aulakh said on his visit to the PAU, a special seminar on the future agriculture would be organised and Janab Pravez Illahi would preside over one of the sessions of the seminar.
Maths seminar concludes

PCTE team first in Pak fest

The PCTE team has bagged the overall first position in Dhoom-2004, a cultural festival held at the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology,
(SZABIST) Islamabad, on October 11. A team comprising three faculty members and 21 students (16 boys and 5 girls) of Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana, competed in the six cultural events.

72-year-old man jailed under NDPS Act

The Additional Sessions Judge, Mr Inderjit Kaushik, has sentenced Balbir Singh (72) of Pakhowal village to one-year imprisonment for
possessing poppy husk. A find of Rs 2,000 was also imposed upon him.
