Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Punjab and at isolated Places in Haryana. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan, rose in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.7C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 22: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, North Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 22: Mist/shallow fog in the morning. Partly cloudy sky with with possibility of thundery development/light rain in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 9C.
