Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Departures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab, rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.7C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 11: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 11: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy tomorrow. Mist/fog in the morning.
