Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were below normal in West Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.6C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 1: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Uttaranchal and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Rejasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Uttaranchal during the next 24 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 1: Partly cloudy sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 07C.
