Villagers protest against pollution by rice mill
Ludhiana, February 14
Following complaint of villagers of five villages near Mullanpur Dakha, District Magistrate, Anurag Verma today directed the Executive Engineer of Punjab Pollution Control Board, (PPCB), to take action against a rice treatment mill in Mandiani village.
Early-sown wheat hit by hailstorm

Putting up a strong case for the timely sowing of wheat, scientists at the Punjab Agricultural University, here said that the worst hit during the hail storm of January 27 was the early sown variety only.

Neeraj Rani wins young scientist award

Neeraj Rani, a student of M.Sc. (Chemistry), Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, PAU, has won the Young Scientist Award in the Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences section at the eight Punjab Science Congress held at Punjabi University, Patiala.
