Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell in Haryana and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 40.6C recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 29: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 29: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 37C.
