Delay in results leaves students in the lurch
PU authorities misplaced answersheets, allege students
Mandi Ahmedgarh, August 1
Though last dates for admission to M Sc classes have expired, some students of B.Sc final examinations, conducted by Panjab University in April this year, were yet to receive results. Tired of shuttling among various offices, these students have sought intervention of the higher authorities in getting their results declared and considered for admission to the higher classes.

PCMA seminar concludes
Ludhiana, August 1
A seminar on mergers and acquisitions in India, organised by the Punjab Commerce and Management Association, concluded at Deshbhagat Institute, Mandi Gobindgarh, yesterday.
The seminar was inaugurated by Ms Jaspreet Talwar, Deputy Commissioner,
Fatehgarh Sahib. While welcoming the delegates, the chairman of the Desh Bhagat
Group of Institutes, Dr Zora Singh, said PCMA was organising various academic
activities throughout the state.

Shipra Gupta excels in M.Sc IT
Ludhiana, August 1
Students of M.Sc IT of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, Panjab University, have excelled in annual PU exams held in April/May, 2005. Out of 19 students five got more than 80 per cent marks.Shipra Gupta secured third place in the university with 87.25per cent marks and Rupinder Kaur was placed fifth in the district with 85.5 per cent marks.
