Foreign students lend global touch to PCTE
Ludhiana, August 31
The Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) have is pulsating with global spirit. Contributing to it are two students from Zimbabwe, one each from Tanzania and Ghana along with six students from Limpopo province of South Africa who comprise the mix of foreign students enrolled in various courses at the college at presently.

Guru Nanak National College celebrated the 85th birth anniversary of its founder Dr Ishwer Singh here today.
Mr Parkash Singh Badal, president, SAD, and Bibi Jagir Kaur along with Bibi Bhagwant Kaur, president, GNN College, Doraha, at the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Dr Ishwar Singh, late founder president of GNN College, on his 85th birth anniversary in Doraha on Wednesday.

of Teachers’ Day

A pensioners’ body in a press note has said to maintain the sanctity of the Teachers day, the Union and State governments should fulfil one or the other outstanding demands of the teachers.
Education services to be upgraded, says SCERT chief

The level of education in the state would be upgraded through various schemes. This was stated by Mr S.S. Randhawa, Director, SCERT, in an interview with Ludhiana Tribune.

Teej celebrations organised
Ludhiana, August 31
The Malwa Central College of Education for Women celebrated the festival of teej on the campus. The students of B.Ed and M.Ed classes participated in singing folk songs. Miss Teej contest was also held for which there were three rounds.
Handwriting contest for schoolchildren

A drawing and handwriting competition for junior classes was held at Everest Public Senior Secondary School, Motinagar, here today. Many students participated in the competition organised by the Hindustan Pencils Ltd.
