Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 17.4C recorded at Udaipur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 12: Rain/thundershower are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
