Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.0C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab) and Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 23, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 23, 2006: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 09C.
