City gardens bloom with festivities

Chandigarh will soon have a Rose Society the main aim of which will be to popularise roses, propagate rose culture and also inculcate the love and interest for roses among the masses.

Results of various contests of Festival of Gardens were announced today.
Result for Class-D for flowers and plants grown in pots: Amitabh Mohan (first);
Gurbaksh Singh (second), for aster plant. Simar Grewal (first and second), Ms
Kavita Soni (second), for antirrhinum. Simar Grewal (first and second), for
Verbena.
The lawn of the Sekhon family in Sector 9, Chandigarh, which got the first prize in the “best-maintained lawn category” in the 4-kanal houses section.

Saini Samaj honours Bhujbal

100 structures demolished in Kharag Mangoli

The enforcement wing of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) today demolished 100 permanent structures and 20 hutments that had come up illegally on HUDA land in Kharag Mangoli today.
Lecture on AIDS, drug addiction
