Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.6C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 31, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
