BKU factions unite on wheat import issue

All three factions of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU), headed by Mr Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, Mr Balbir Singh Rajewal and Mr Pishora Singh Sidhupur, have decided to sink their differences and come together on a single platform to launch protest against the government’s decision to import 20 lakh tonnes of wheat, that too at a time when fresh crop had already started arriving in mandies.
Liquor pilferage bares chinks in IAF station

The Sudhar police has cautioned the authorities at the Air Force Station, Halwara, against the probable lapses in security arrangements after three persons, including two civilian employees, were arrested at Officers’ Mess for allegedly stealing liquor meant for the use of defence personnel.
Residents, industry bear brunt of power cuts
