Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Banihal (Jammu and Kashmir) has recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Rajasthan, fell in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.8C recorded at Allahabad (uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 13, 2006: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
