Contract for collection of market fee cancelled
Mandi Ahmedgarh, May 12
Acting on the recommendations of Ms Razia Sultana, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of the constituency, and the complaints of vendors, the Chairman, Market Committee, has cancelled the contract for collection of market fee within the limits of the town.
Residents seek uninterrupted water supply

Residents of Urban Vihar, Jwaddi, are reeling under the shortage of drinking water for the past one week.
Despite various representations to the Municipal Corporation authorities, the water supply to the area has not been restored. The area councillor has, however, made arrangements of water tankers to supply water to the area.
Safai workers demand regularisation

About 150 safai workers of Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), who have been working in the hospital for more than 10 years now, have demanded regularisation of jobs. A delegation of the safai workers under the leadership of Mr Vijay Danav and Mr Laxman Dravid met the Director, Mr John Pramod, here today.
Bhoomi pujan for seniors’ home

The Rotary Club of Ludhiana (North) organised bhoomi pujan for the proposed senior citizens home in the B block of Rajguru Nagar here yesterday. The Punjab Government through the Improvement Trust has given a plot of 2,000 yards for the Senior Citizens Home.
Pensioners write to Dullo

In a letter to Mr S.S. Dullo, president, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, the Government Pensioners Association has stated that five lakh employees and pensioners have a host of complaints against the state government, led by Capt Amarinder Singh.
