Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 35C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.8C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 27: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
