Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.9C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 26: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 26: Mist/fog in the morning. Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night. The minimum temperature will be around 6C.
