Governor mourns death of Chiragi: Governor NN Vohra has expressed grief over the death of veteran journalist and former Editor, Qaumi Awaz, Mohan Chiragi, who died here on Tuesday. In a condolence message, the Governor recalled the contribution of Chiragi to the development of Urdu journalism in the state and the country.He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.

Bid to burgle bank: Unidentified persons broke into a bank in the Chowki Chora area in Akhnoor on Monday. However, no loss was reported, the police said. It said thieves entered J&K Grameen Vikas Bank after breaking locks. They tried to break the safe box, but did not succeed. Then they broke the locks of nearby shops and stole some articles. A police team along with a dog squad and forensic experts reached there and collected samples. A case had been registered.
