Moga
Minor girl sexually abused: A 14-year-old girl, hailing from Moga, was allegedly kidnapped and sexually abused by a resident of the Ferozepur district. He also tried to persuade her through a marriage proposal to hush up the case. An FIR under sections 363, 366-A, 376 and 120 B of the IPC has been registered against Sukhchain and two women Kulwant Kaur and Gurmeet Kaur at the city police station (South), last night. The medical examination of the girl was conducted at the district hospital here, today. SHO, Barinder Singh said the police had lodged a hunt to nab the accused.

Davinder Sharma, Deputy Commandant of 153 Battalion, BSF, who has been conferred the President’s Police Medal for his services. Davinder Sharma was already awarded four times by the Director-General of BSF and 10 times by the Inspector-General of BSF.

Science exhibition: Police DAV Public School, Ambala City, organised a science model exhibition. Around 100 models were exhibited by various schools of the district. ADGP (law & order) BS Sandhu inaugurated the exhibition. Students displayed the models of flood alert alarm, rain water harvesting system, global warming, air pollution controlling device and auto-electric motor.
